LDA combats the flames

With the launch of the NEO 8060, LDA has created a compact EN 54-16-certified PA/VA system for safe and controlled emergency evacuations. The 2U voice evacuation and public address system consists of eight Class-D amplifiers, five audio inputs, an 8x8 audio matrix (40x1024 digital), a 4.3-inch touchscreen, an integrated emergency microphone and 4GB of internal memory for pre-recorded messages. A full suite of DSP parameters includes a seven-band input/output parametric equaliser, loudness, DA sound enhancer, independent volume control for each channel and audio filters. Included NEO-Configurator software remotely configures the system and creates events that can be triggered by the input level, date and time, a UDP command, a GPIO or a button from a MPS microphone. Up to eight multi-zone MPS-8Z microphones or VAP-1 panels can be connected by a single Cat5 UTP cable. The triple Ethernet port can be used for CobraNet connection, remote control and for escalating the system with NEO-Extensions in daisy-chain mode with FlexNet technology.

A second, compact, EN 54-16-certified, six-zone public address and voice alarm system has been unveiled by the Spanish brand in the form of the LDA ONE500. Incorporating two Class-D amplifiers, three audio inputs, a 6x6 audio matrix, DSP, a double player for pre-recorded evacuation messages and LCD display, the ONE500 can be configurated without software or PC with a Plug & Set mode for PA/VA. In addition to automatic mixing, the ONE500 includes an EN 54-4 battery charger that can operate with one 12V battery. A Wall & Rack design promotes wall mounting and rack integration.

Registering a sensitivity of 105dB (1W/1m), LDA has also added an EN 54-24 certified horn loudspeaker to its inventory. Housed in a light grey UV resistive UL94V0 ABS enclosure, the PS-30TN is equipped with built-in ceramic blocks and a thermal fuse. Power taps can be set at 15W, 10W or 5W @100V or at 8Ω low impedance. Capable of operating over a wide range of temperatures and humidities, the PS-30TN is suitable for extreme outdoor applications. The low-profile horn speaker can be mounted onto a wall or column with an included U-type bracket.
