REVIEW – Several months ago I returned to work full-time, but that does not mean that things returned to normal. Being in the office again after Covid looks quite different with what seems to be at least double the number of meetings, but with everyone attending from their offices or cubicles and all via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. All returning staff have been provided with wired USB headsets to attend the virtual meetings. I immediately found the short approximately 5ft cable to be very restrictive. I tend to move around my office handling other tasks during meetings, so I really wanted and needed a desktop speakerphone that could pick up my voice from every angle in my office and loud enough so that I could hear clearly as well. You can imagine how excited I was when I got the chance to test and review this Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone.

The Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone is an HD Hi-Fi Speaker with Multi-Mic that features AI intelligence Noise Reduction and Echo Cancellation. It boasts broad compatibility and is Plug & Play.

The Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone is packaged in a really nice storage/carrying case. Since this device is truly portable, this is a great feature and inclusion.

On the top of the Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone there is a touchpad with 3 buttons. They are volume up/down and mute. The buttons are LED backlit and there is also a LED around the outer edge of the touchpad.

In terms of connectivity, there is only one USB-C port on the side of the Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone.

Since the Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone is plug and play, the only setup that is required is to plug the USB-C end of the cable into the device and the USB-A side into the computer.

Once connected, the device comes alive. The first photo below shows the connected device with the mute function on. the second photo shows what it looks like when in use with the mic on.

As you can see below, when using Microsoft teams, the Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone shows up as just an "8-mic speakerphone".

The Annke BSP001 – 360° Omni-directional Pick-up Conference Speakerphone is a simple plug-and-play device that works exactly as it is designed to and it works very well. It has allowed me to achieve my goal and made my work life easier. it is solidly built and with very few buttons and one connection, it is as easy as Sunday morning to use. I give this device a well done and two thumbs up.
